I’ll freely admit to being a coffee snob. I won’t touch instant unless I’m working as crew in a sailing vessel. But I’m not above buying pre-ground beans. I prefer a filter coffee to an espresso. If I’m in the mood for an Italian coffee, I prefer a ristretto, and I’d rather let someone who knows what they’re doing prepare it. At some point, I stumbled on what is supposed to be the perfect anytime coffee blend. I have yet to try it, but in case you’re feeling adventurous here it is.

  • 60% Brazilian
  • 30% Columbian
  • 10% Jamaican Blue Mountain

That’s all the information I had to go on, but I think it’s a safe bet that it’s all Arabica, and quite possibly all the Typica variety.

International Coffee Day is October 1. Maybe next year I’ll order in some beans and get a coffee grinder.
